Trailer for Al-Khimyah (2020). Al-Khimyah explores the work of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) in the historic city of Cairo, Egypt. The film shines a spotlight on the 30-hectare Al-Azhar Park - converted from a mound of rubble - and the stories of local residents of the adjacent al-Darb al-Ahmar neighbourhood. The park has also proven to be a powerful catalyst for urban renewal, evolving beyond the green space itself to include the restoration of monuments and public spaces, and socioeconomic initiatives including housing rehabilitation, microfinance, crafts apprenticeships, and healthcare. Since opening in 2005 after 20 years of careful excavation and design, Al-Azhar Park has provided much-needed leisure and recreational space to the inhabitants of the city, and is today often referred to as "Cairo's green lung." When you hear the word "Islam", pop culture does not come to mind. Yet, pop culture is an important way to understand Islam, in addition to learning through the traditional texts. Research into pop culture in Islam will lead to a greater understanding of how young people access Islam.

The UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction chose Linx to produce several short films and PSAs for their Global Platform in Geneva. The project is designed to raise awareness on disaster risk prevention and management. This PSA will also be available in Spanish, French, Russian and Arabic and is broadcast on CNN and Al Jazeera, among others.

According to the ILO in 2013, 21 million people were in some form of slavery worldwide, including victims of trapped domestic servitude. Many these victims do not get paid the agreed amount, work all hours of day and night, have no proper place to sleep, and are often fed just leftovers. Here, we use whiteboard animation to create awareness of this unacceptable behaviour.
