Adil (Adi) Latif decided to raise money for the 2005 Asian earthquake victims by snowboarding on a glacier in Switzerland.

Two problems - Adi is a rookie snowboarder, and he is almost totally blind.

Accompanied by mountain guide Neil MacNab and snowboarding instructor Keith McIntosh, the Scotsman of Pakistani descent took a helicopter from Chamonix, France, to the Trient Glacier on the Swiss side of Mont Blanc, Europe's highest mountain.

His aim - to raise £14,000 (US$28,000) to help ActionAid provide relief to victims of the earthquake, tens of thousands of whom are still hungry and homeless.
